The Senate Committee on Labour and Social Welfare on Tuesday held a public hearing on the Kenya National Library Service Bill, 2023, where stakeholders expressed broad support for the proposed law but urged lawmakers to strengthen provisions on digital preservation, financing and professional governance before it is enacted.

The Senate Standing Committee on Energy, chaired by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator William Kisang, has received a comprehensive status report on the implementation of the Kenya Off-Grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP), with Members seeking assurances that the programme is delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions to underserved communities across the country.
