The Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi has called for stronger collaboration between the Executive and Parliament to enhance efficiency in legislative business and improve service delivery to Kenyans.

 

In a message delivered by the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs, CPA Aurelia Rono during the Senate Liaison Committee Retreat in Mombasa County, PCS Mudavadi emphasised the need to deepen institutional coordination, noting that the forum was critical in strengthening governance systems.

The Clerk of the Senate and Secretary to the Parliamentary Service Commission, Mr Jeremiah Nyegenye has reaffirmed the Parliamentary Officers’ commitment to supporting Senators in effectively discharging their constitutional mandate, pledging continued technical and administrative assistance to strengthen the work of committees.

Speaking at the opening of the Senate Liaison Committee Working Retreat in Mombasa, Mr Nyegenye said the forum was crucial for reviewing the performance of committees during the Fourth Session and for charting the way forward.
