In THE MATTER OF CONSIDERATION BY THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF:

WHEREAS, Article 118(1) (b) of the Constitution requires Parliament to facilitate public participation and involvement in the legislative and other business of Parliament and its Committees and Standing Order 127(3) of the National Assembly Standing Orders requires House Committees considering Bills to facilitate public participation;
AND WHEREAS, the Central Bank (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 27 of 2026) and the Kenya

The National Assembly is set to embark on a nationwide public participation exercise on the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 4 of 2025).

This follows a Communication read by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Moses Wetang'ula.

This Bill seeks to amend the Constitution to formally entrench the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), the Senate Oversight Fund, and the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF).
