The Senate, through the Standing Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights, is inviting members of the public to submit written memoranda on the Public Participation Bill, 2025 (National Assembly Bills No. 44 of 2025).

The Bill seeks to provide a framework for effective public participation and to give effect to the constitutional principle of participation of the people. It also proposes guiding principles for institutions conducting public participation and identifies the authorities responsible for developing specific public participation guidelines within public institutions.

Members of the public are invited to submit their views to the Clerk of the Senate on or before Monday, 28th September 2026 at 5.00 p.m.
