The National Assembly Departmental Committee on Education has stepped in to assist final-year Bachelor of Pharmacy students from the University of Nairobi to secure internship placements who missed the 2025/2026 internship cohort due to delayed release of their final examination results.

The Committee, led by Hon. Eve Obara , met with affected students in Parliament following a formal petition presented to the House, in which the students decried the delayed release of their final-year results, terming it a violation of their fundamental rights.

The Conflict of Interest Bill, 2023, has been signed into law by President William Ruto.

The Act consolidates various laws relating to conflict of interest and repeals the Public Officer Ethics Act (Cap. 185B), establishing a comprehensive framework for managing conflict of interest in the discharge of public duties.

Kenya’s Parliament Football Club (Bunge FC) led by team Captain Hon. (Dr.) Otiende Amolo today undertook a courtesy visit to the National Football Team (Harambee Stars) in training. The delegation of MPs offered words of encouragement, support, and praise to the Stars ahead of the weekend kick-off of CHAN.

“We have come here first as Members of Bunge football club, and second as MPs
to encourage the stars and their technical team.” said Hon. (Dr.) Amolo.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Moses Wetang'ula has conveyed a message from President William Ruto nominating Mr. Pius Angasa for appointment as a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

Reading the communication on the floor of the House, the Speaker Wetang'ula noted that the nomination is in line with Section 11(2) of the Central Bank of Kenya Act, Cap. 491, which requires that directors and the chairperson of the CBK Board be appointed by the President with the approval of Parliament.
