VACANT POSITION FOR MEMBER OF THE PARLIAMENTARY SERVICE COMMISSION
The Parliamentary Service Commission is established under Article 127 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to among others provide services and facilities to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of Parliament. Article 127 of the Constitution provides that the Parliamentary Service Commission shall consist of, among others, one man and one woman appointed by Parliament from among persons who are experienced in public affairs, but are not members of Parliament.
The Secretary to the Commission now invites applications for one (1) vacant position for a female Member of the Parliamentary Service Commission under Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution. The vacancy is to be filled by Parliament as provided for under Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution.
Please note that there is currently no vacancy for the one man Commissioner under Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution. Therefore, only qualified female candidates are invited to apply.
A person is qualified to be appointed a member of the Parliamentary Service Commission under Article 127(2)(d) if:
(a) the person is not a Member of Parliament;
(b) the person is a citizen of Kenya;
(c) holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
(d) has at least ten years’ experience in public affairs; and
(e) meets the requirements of leadership and integrity set out in chapter 6 of the Constitution.
APPLICATION PROCESS
(a) All applicants are required to fill the Job Application Form for female Parliamentary Service Commission (Form PSC/F/2026) which may be downloaded from the internet at www.parliament.go.ke. or clicking Here
(b) Applicants should attach to their applications, copies of their academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
(c) The applications should also be accompanied by a copy of a Self-Declaration Form to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission as set out at section 12A of the Leadership and Integrity Act.
(d) All applications should be addressed to the Clerk of the Senate/Secretary, Parliamentary Service Commission and should be submitted ONLINE as a PDF format attachment by emailing to psccommissioner2026@parliament.go.ke.
(e) All applications should be received within fourteen (14) days from the publication of this Advertisement and not later than Friday, 28th August, 2026, 5:00 p.m., Kenyan time. Any application received after this date shall not be considered.
